"Coming Home" Song of the week #22
by Susan Busatti Giangano
Now I lay me down
The sun has kissed the moon goodnight
A joyful rain of tears
I can almost hear them
Hearts alive, standing by an open door
Love is what they're waiting for
Tears are being wiped with a smile
A while is like forever, just a while
Prayers are being answered one by one
I can hear them whisper, "They're coming home!"
Yesterday I heard it was the end
They would be sending young hearts back again
Yesterday I felt my heart take its place where it belongs
Back where it belongs
Tears are being wiped with a smile
A while is like forever, just a while
Prayers are being answered one by one
I can hear them shouting, "They're coming home!
They're coming home
